Instructions

There are two basic modes of the program (statuses):

  • Editing mode for the existing images. All functional features of the program are available here;

  • Creating new images mode (filter application). Some features are locked in this mode. For instance, you can’t turn off the filter.

Note: there are other modes, but they are hardly noticeable for the user.

Filter application

In order to apply the filter (add the image):

  1. Select the image in the history tree.

  2. In the filter tree select the filter. The program will transfer you to the new image creating mode. In order to cancel (i.е. change to editing mode) click “Cancel” No.3 (see Pic.4) or select a different image in the history tree.

  3. Edit the input parameters in the settings window and (or) with the help of markers in the graphic area.

  4. Click “Create” No.2 (see Pic.4).

ATTENTION!

THE EDITED IMAGE WILL BE THE LAST IMAGE (NOT THE SELECTED ONE) THAT HAD BEEN CHECKED.

THE NEW IMAGE WILL BE ADDED AT THE END OF THE LIST OF THE DERIVATIVES.

          5. You may change the order if you need to, re-name the image, etc. as mentioned in the “History tree window” section.

Specific aspects of some filters application.

Application of most filters is intuitive and self-explanatory.

There are specific aspects to some of the filters.

Retouch From Point, IME Retouch From Points, Alpha By Points, etc.

Use the left mouse button to add points. To delete click on the left button while pressing “Shift”.

Filters with masking images as input parameters.

With the first application of any filter, with masking images as input parameters, an empty (transparent) 640х480 pixel image will be applied as the masking image.

Text

In order to enter the text editing mode, double click within the rectangle. In order to exit the mode, click outside the rectangle or press “Command + Enter”.

In order to move the text during the editing, use the mouse while pressing “Command”.

When the text editing mode is on, additional toolbar will appear under the main one.  (see Pic. 7).

Pic.7 – Text editing toolbar.

Use the toolbar to perform basic editing: changing the color, size, horizontal alignment, etc.

Note: vertical alignment is not available in this version of the program. This could partly be compensated in the following way. Insert another line before the first one – put the cursor before the first line and press “Enter”. Put the cursor on the first (new) line, press space and highlight it. Change the size of the highlighted part of the text, until the main text (not highlighted) takes the desired vertical position.
