Image loading for metadata viewing

To load images you should perform one of the following actions:

        1. Press “Addfolder” button on the tool bar or select “File->AddFolder” in the main menu. In the opened dialog box choose a folder of interest. As a result all the files supported by the program and contained in a given folder will appear in the file window.

        2. Drag the folder with the mouse from the Finder to the file window. The result is similar to that stated in Item 1.

       3. Drag a separate folder from the Finder to the file window. If the file is supported, it will be also added to the left part of the main window.

       4. Drag an image with the mouse from any Web browser (e.g. from Safari) to the file window. The file and its metadata will appear in a semitransparent (gray) view testifying that the file has not been saved.

       To save the file you should press “SaveFile” button on the tool bar or select “File->Save”  in the main menu. To save all the files you should press “SaveAll”  button on the tool bar or select “ File->Save all” in the main menu.

        Notes:

      - For correct loading an image from the Web browser to the program you should wait until image loading in the Web browser is completed. Otherwise, a low-quality image or incorrect file name, or its URL-address are possible;

     - If image loading from the Web browser to the program is taking too much time, then loading can be stopped by pressing “Stop” button located on the right under the tool bar;

      -  If the file has not been saved on the computer's hard disc, editing of its metadata is senseless, though available. You should  save the file at first and then start editing its metadata;

     - In few cases some metadata not available in EXIF 2.3 standard become available for viewing after downloading  from the Internet, but they are not saved while saving the file on the hard disc.

        Metadata viewing

        For viewing metadata you should just choose a line in the file window with a necessary image. In the metadata window image metadata divided into the following groups: EXIF, AUXEXIF, TIFF, GIF, IPTC etc. will appear. Each can be unfolded or folded using the button to the right of the group name. For convenient viewing of metadata of a specific group all other groups can be folded. The program stores the "folded / unfolded" state for each group and restores it after reboot.

    When pressing "i" button in the left upper corner of a specific tag line a window with tag description will appear, if available. To close the window just click in any part of the screen beyond the window limits.

      While directing the mouse pointer to the icon with an image in the file window a window with enlarged image will appear. To close the window just move the mouse pointer in any direction.
